The latest Revision of the LDO Voron printer kits has arrived in stock.
What has changed?
First of all what hasn’t changed: the great quality in components, the very detailed documentation provided on the LDO website.
LDO has further improved the value of the kits by lowering the price and at the same time adding additional quality components:
- Leviathan Controller board: LDO has swapped the Octopus 1.1 controller board for the more powerful and newer Leviathan board,m which features TMC5160 drivers and a 48V electrical system. It also includes an integrated mounting option for the Raspberry Pi, so saves space in your electronics bay
- Nitehawk-SB Toolhead Board: the USB based tool-head board reduces the amount of wiring needed for your tool-head. Just 24V/GND and the USB data lines are needed, so much less potential for wiring failures.
- The extruder gears have been upgraded to Bondtech IDGA gears, which gives you a better accuracy for your prints
- Some of the LDO specific printed parts are now included in the kit, which makes starting your printer assembly more straight forward
- Now no only the heating pad is pre-glued to the aluminium bed but also the magnetic sheet, taking away one of the more “cumbersome” assembly steps of your Voron
- Lots more little improvements as part of the 4th revision of the LDO printer kits, based on LDO’s long-term experience and pro-activeness to customer feedback
