Clicky-Clacky Door for Voron 2.4 by LDO
The Clicky-Clacky Fridge Door Kit has been designed by whopping and produced by LDO. It is a great single piece door which allows for smooth and satisfying opening and closing with a nice clicking sound.

Inspired by Doc’s fridge door mod and the EZBake Trident Doom conversion, I set out to design a hinge and latch system that could securely close an extrusion-framed door against 3mm foam tape, while also yielding some satisfying sounds.
This solution is what fit the bill for me. The door opens smoothly, and can be easily removed from the hinges simply by lifting up. The latch mechanism actually draws the door closed against the sealing foam when closed, and clicks shut with the help of some magnets. It makes nice sounds.

You’ll need to source
- 3D printed parts (STLs can be downloaded here)
- 3mm panels (available on OneTwo3D here)
- 0.3mm foam tape (to tape along the sides) or 2mm foam tape (to tape over the edges) if 6mm panels are not fitting correctly due to tolerances in panel or extrusion slot size.
Due to variations in the anodising process, the door frame colours may vary from the colour of the LDO printer frames.

Everything you need except the panel and printed parts.

This is an easy 4.9 stars, Exactly as you’d expect from an LDO Product it looks great, everything is in the kit you’d need. My only gripe is that the blue is slightly different to the rest of the LDO frame but i’ll swap the extrusions for the rear frame extrusions so they’re hidden. This isn’t a bad product just a bi-product of anodising never looking identical twice.

Voron 2.4 350mm Gray model.
Overall the kit is a good upgrade, especially in an English winter where it offers good sealing of the door as well as good insulation when paired with the nest door panel kit.
Note: LDO ship this with the hardware to build with no spares so don’t lose any bolts or damage the bushing etc. The only failing I had was they shipped slightly too little 3mm foam – (I was short 20cm) but i had a bit of left over from the printer kit so got around that ok.
The print tolerances are pretty tight so make sure you have your filament flow properly tuned. You will need to also have a hot enough chamber to get the overhangs on the hinges to print correctly with some hotend fan – i. managed to get away with 45c chamber & 30% constant fan. This is after having two prints failing due to dodgy overhangs with no fan causing the hinge to detach from the bed.
I am hoping this will give me another 5 deg or so chamber temp in a cold loft in an English winter to allow more winter printing.
Great service from onetwo3d as always!
